Are there plans for a CentOS version of Shutter?
Thanks
Regards
Pierre
No, we have no plans for providing CentOS packages. There are packages for all major distributions and they are all provided by the community. If you know any CentOS packager, please let us know. It should not be a big problem.
I have a small repo for EL6 that also includes shutter (great software btw!):
rpm -Uvh http://li.nux.ro/download/nux/dextop/el6/x86_64/nux-dextop-release-0-1.el6.nux.noarch.rpm && yum install shutter
Great, thanks. Do you mind if I add it to the list? The dependencies are resolved automatically when installing from your repo?
Romario, yes you can add it to the list. Dependencies should be resolved automatically though my repo is designed to coexist with the FedoraEPEL one so that one might need enabling as well. In case of problems drop an email to rpm at li.nux.ro
Just to clarify, is this a centos version? Is it still accessible?
@Romario:
Imho better modify the command to also include EPEL:
“rpm -Uvh http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/epel/6/i386/epel-release-6-5.noarch.rpm http://li.nux.ro/download/nux/dextop/el6/x86_64/nux-dextop-release-0-1.el6.nux.noarch.rpm && yum install shutter”
@Meta – yes this should also work for Centos 6, Scientifix Linux 6, Puias 6, Oracle blah linux 6 etc.
The repo was down for a while as I replaced the machines it was hosted on. Sorry about that.
thanks dude, i use this tool on work and recently switched from Kubuntu to CentOS.
Works on 64 bits? In opensuse 11.3 says: “anything provides librsvg-2-2″
I don’t understand what that means. Is this an error message? Please describe in more detail what you are doing and what is not working. Anyway, Shutter usually works great on 64 bit architectures.
Opensuse 11.3 64,
1) I added the repository
2) I go to add/remove programs
3) When i select the checkbox shutter 0.87.1-2.1 a dialog box appears:
There is nothing that provides librsvg-2-2 and is needed by shutter-0.87.1-2.1.noarch
(radiobutton) do not install
(radiobutton) break dependencies
Hello Nano,
can you send me per PM to saigkill@opensuse,org which repo you added and what happens then.
Cu Sascha
Same problem here, but that’s because I’m running KDE and Shutter seems to be written for Gnome…?
Please send an email to Sascha and ask him for help. I am pretty sure he can sort things out for you.
There is a little mistake:
>A package for Arch Linux is available in the Community repository.
A package for Arch Linux is available in the AUR (Arch User Repository), that is not the same.
Fixed. Thanks.
Are there any plans for a windows version of shutter?
