Thanks! Shutter is just awesome!
I am glad you like it
Hi, thanks for the program, I like it a lot.
But (sorry), is the flash problem already solved in new versions?
No, not yet. We use gnome-web-photo for this. As long as the developers of gnome-web-photo don’t implement that it will not be available in Shutter.
Thanks! It’s a really nice program. Is it possible to set it up so it works like greenshot, which has a really slick selection mode – – the drag shows a selection region on your screen, and after the release it’s immediately in the paste buffer. I can get close to this in Shutter, but it takes a while to dim the screen, and display the message which tells you how to make the screenshot (after a few goes you don’t need this information). Also after making the selection you still need to confirm it with a double click or .
Hope the feedback is useful, and thanks again.
You can use the Simple Selection Tool. You can activate it by selecting the corresponding option in the button’s submenu (toolbar).

Awesome Program! I’ve been looking for something like this for a long time!
good
Discovered by chance this program because I was looking for an anime so I install it, all right and brings many things, but with ubuntu 4.11 that I have gives me an error and it closes the session, I checked several times and actually I happens.
Hm, please report a bug for this at Launchpad (click on the badge in the sidebar). You should include all steps in detail to reproduce your problem. It would also be helpful to run Shutter in debug-mode (shutter –debug) and attach the output to tha bug.
Cuando lo estoy utilizando me hace cerrar la sesion del ubuntu 11.04, asi que no lo podré usar
I tried to translate your comment and I am not sure if I understand you correctly: You are logged out as soon as you start Shutter?
Yes, That’s what he said.
Anybody out there who can translate this for windows? (I like Linux, really, but no one besides me wants to use it here and EVERY new computer is sold with windows…)
Please see my answer here: /faq-help/
Yeah, program could be more porular with supporting of Windows… hate Windows, but it’s everywhere…
Install Linux anyway. I did it under the same conditions you describe and it works great.
Windows shop, but I run linux, and run windows in a VM for those things that I can not do in linux, which is very few. However, a good windows (at least what the windows folks tell me) program is MWSnap 3, free too!
Perfect program! Thank you! SnagIt sucks)
Hi, every software deserves a thanks, even viruses
..they kill “Windows”
I like this app its really nice. I would just love to see them implement a feature similar to gtk-recordmydesktop and we have a winner. Thanks again to Open Source for making this possible and showing the Winders folks how to do things right.
