Hello,

Thanks shutter team for the best screen capture tools in Linux.

I have found so many rich features in shutter so far but one thing I tried to do is applying border on edit panel.

I have figured an option to apply border while capturing the image but when i crop the image the border also cropped so I need to add border while editing. Is there any way? Or any Plugin for this feature?

Since installing Ubuntu 15.04 Mate Edition Shutter hangs (using 100% CPU on one core) after one screen shot. I am running Shutter version 0.93.1. Any ideas?

how I can save file name on a variable after taking screenshot with scrot.
here is my code but not working:

Hello Shutter Team,
Shutter is absolutely the best screenshot program in Linux.
However, I’m visually impaired. When taking a screenshot, the complete screen turns dark.
Is there a way to keep the screen ‘normal’ when taking a screenshot?

This problem prevents me from moving from Windows and MWSnap 3 to Linux and Shutter.

Hope you can help me and many visually impaired.

Hello, is it possible to force the length and width of the selection box when in the “Advanced selection tool” mode? In photoshop this can be done by holding down shift while you are drawing the selection. Thank you for Shutter!

Regarding the FTP upload feature…
Is there a parameter expansion or something similar so I can have shutter tell me the url of what was just uploaded so I can quickly paste it to my recipient, something like the below where the %s would be expanded to the filename of the captured image?

password [ ]
website url [ http://my.ftp.com/public_images/%s ]

Hm, not really. Maybe you should try one of the available browser plugins for taking screenshots of webpages in this case.

Pretty neat software. I cannot seem to figure out how to take a screenshot of a website that requires authentication though… any hints on how to go about doing that? I just get the login window, but what I need is what comes after login in.
